Question (Edit)

I'm going to be turning 18 in March- which means I would be able to open a PayPal account that isn't a student one-, and the idea of doing commissions has passed through my head a few times- since my art shop thing obviously didn't work out. So now my question to everyone is: If I would start offering commissions, would you consider commissioning me? I won't go through with it if only one or two people answer, but if enough people are interested I'll start figuring out how much I would charge and what the order process would be.

<edit>
I think I phrased the question incorrectly. What I mean to say is: Do you guys think I'm good enough to start offering commissions? And if I'm not, what things do you think I should work on before I start to sell my artwork for money?

I would really appreciate it if you guys could give me a bit of feedback- even if it is a "no".

Happy 2010 everyone! :D
I know it is about an hour late, but I was celebrating with my family like I always do. :) Did anyone else do anything cool tonight?

As for a new years resolution, mine is to draw and paint more. As you guys may or may not have noticed, my DA was pretty slow on updates last year. I plan to change that, hopefully, this year.

That's all for now. :peace:

Gah, Not Again...

Alright, so I was in my painting class and my teacher told us to get all of our stuff out of the folders- and if it wasn't there then it is going to the art fair. Ninety percent of my stuff is in the art fair folder, I was told, but wanted to see the pieces to make sure they were really there and not lost- I'm paranoid like that :paranoid:. So when I look through it my teacher comes up to me and mentions that she noticed black paint got splattered on my Swirl painting in a few spots. I was crushed- since I think of my artworks as almost alive. I'll have to fix it somehow, possibly scraping off the parts of unwanted black and painting over it with more acrylic paint. Either way, it's a pain. :/

That's it for my ranting. :peace: Peace.

False Alarm (edit of Inbox Flood Ahead)

<edit> I've figured it out. It was so simple too. All I had to do was go to the group gallery and hit "submit existing deviation" *headdesk* I really gotta be more observant in the future.</edit>

Just a small warning. The club that I'm in- #Tokka-Fans-United - has recently turned into a DA group and is asking all of the art contributors to resubmit all the artwork that was in their gallery originally so that they can make the favorite system less of an issue. I'm not sure how else that can work where it will link back and forth from my gallery then to the club and back other than to resubmit it to my own gallery and have it also submit to a club. That sounds kinda confusing but hopefully it will work out. But for the time being you will probably see many pieces that you have seen from me before pop up in your inbox- you aren't going crazy, its just me being strange. I'll hopefully have something new to submit sometime next week.

That reminds me. Next week I get off school on the 23rd- it's a half day. I'm kinda upset that we don't get out until the day before Christmas eve, but this could be seen coming for a long time. My school always seems to find ways to screw the students over on their vacation time. Oh well. At least Christmas is near- and I'm actually kinda excited for it this year. :santa: Merry Christmas everyone! :D

I was apart of a thumb share thread quite a while ago where people gave each other more thought out comments then you're used to seeing on this site (I'm being one of the more uninteresting because I usually have trouble voicing how I feel about a piece, but that's beside the point.). Well, the starter of said thread created a feature news article with 1-2 pieces from each art contributor to the thread. You can find it here.
The article has a lot of great artwork from lots of great artists, so I suggest checking it out. :)

That's all for now. Peace :peace:
